Today we focus on Cybersmart

Ensuring that everyone is safe, using words like 'be internet strong, smart and awesome.'
What a fabulous talk, being cybersmart needs to be 'added in' to all lessons not just added on.

All learners need to know that everything needs to be visible. Our learners need to understand
what should be shared and what should not be.

Kawa of Care - this has got me thinking about the right place, right time. Along with sharing
how to be cybersmart at home and school. A question I am going to ask at the end of this
presentation ... So, Our junior students (ipads) should be completing Kawa of Care.

Deep Dive/Chalk ‘n Talk Hapara Teacher Dashboard - 1 min into this presentation and I have the first question. Can Hapara be used on my students ipads.
Answer Yes/NO. The drive can be set up through Hapara e.g photo's, I can not look at what they are
doing on their drive.

Connecting with Dorothy: Visible Learning and Teaching. John Hattie  (making learning visible)

Can we see it? Invisible or visible?
Can anyone see it? Invisible or visible?

The importance of children succeeding in education today is from preparing the children to be successful. This starts at home.

Visible learning:
  • Planning
  • Process
  • Outcomes
  • Assessment
Visible Teaching:
  • The day to day functioning and progression of the teaching and learning journey should Not be kept invisible
  • Young people should not get Surprises
  • It must be Accessible
  • It must be Available
